Respect"Not in front of the men," Zephyr murmured as Noreat kissed him again.
The younger king frowned as Zephyr pulled away. Curse the man's annoying height. In some cases it was quite fun, in others it was maddening. Of course Noreat could pull him back down, but Zephyr was strong again. He could resist with ease.
"And why not in front of them?" Noreat waved a hand dismissively at the knights who kept watching.
"Right now is not the right time."
"Oh? And what is the right time?" Frowned the younger king.
The older man sighed lightly while side eyeing the army that Noreat had given him. Zephyr adjusted quickly to being General of Dwal's army, and the men adjusted quickly to having to listen to a foreigner's direction. It also helped that at any time Zephyr could either: (a) knock them to the ground with a gale of wind or (b), the far more interesting choice, he could create a vacuum around them and starve them of air for any length of time. Usually he didn't kill the men, bu
MorningIt was deceiving how peaceful he looked when he slept. Eyes shut, hair in a silver halo around his head, or perhaps pooled around his shoulders, mouth in a gentle line making an expression that was somewhere between a smile and a frown, Zephyr looked positively sweet asleep. If any of his men ever saw it they would lose so much respect for him—or so Zephyr liked to say. Noreat didn’t think that soldiers were that finicky. Everyone had to sleep didn’t they? Why would seeing their General asleep change their opinion of him? Now if he didn’t have to sleep that might terrify them, but he did, and that was perfectly normal, so it followed that it shouldn’t affect anything between Zephyr and his men. But Zephyr thought it did. Zephyr had a lot of thoughts that Noreat didn’t agree with.
Though, the nice thing about sleeping Zephyr was that he couldn’t disagree with Noreat. All he could do was lay there, looking beautiful, half covered
Camera Kings: One Thing"I will send for Tien. She will help you through this."
"You shouldn't be alone right now, your Majesty."
"I shall see no one. Now get out."
Sharp eyes watched above a wrinkled, sly smile from a safe distance off set. Richard had already done this seen four times, each take more dazzling than the next. Though Thomas did not doubt the man's ability to emote, there was something startling about watching his sweet Richard appear so angry. That smile cracked wider. Yes... his sweet Richard. How lovely that sounded rolling around in his head. Thomas's long, lanky fingers swirled in circles along the arm of his chair. He watched the second actor bow out of the scene and leave through the door. His gaze then switched to the star of the shot, barely blinking for fear of missing a beat. Richard, now Noreat, turned to his desk, his face hard and his hands shaking. Leaning forward, he hesitated, his posture rigidly furious. Then, in a sudden move, Richard yanked
Camera Kings: Damn Romantic"The mountains are not going anywhere, we can come back again."
"I don't want to leave yet."
"It would be unwise to stay out after the sunset."
"Because of the dream eaters?"
"Then we will have to have another picnic out here."
"That could easily be arranged. A quick kiss and then we mount our gryphons." Richard looked up to Thomas as he flipped a page. A sigh escaped him. "Of course. A week worth of quiet rehearsal time and the majority of the episode falls to the computer." He let out a long sigh, pinching the bridge of his nose behind his glasses. Richard felt a clenching of his stomach. He often tried to imagine what it would be like to be such an established actor and say yes to a project like this. On TV no less. Richard was young, but he wasn't that naive. He knew the difference between stage actors and all the others. He remembered distinctly the attitudes most Broadway stars had when he had spent summer year in New York. Stepping from the stage to the camera was a very
Camera Kings: When Stars CryThe scene was set beautifully. Amid the brush and foliage of the gardens, gentle, silver light poured down from above, and darkness covered the world like a blanket. Two figures, enveloped a the gentle softness of light, sat on a bench in the center of the scene. Both sat in regal garbs, though not as ornate as they might have been under different circumstances. Both were men, though the smaller of the two had his face painted as elegantly as a geisha. There was at least a twenty year age difference, considering their faces, but that didn't seem to phase either of them as the elder had his arms wrapped gently around the smaller's waist. A sigh passed through the younger's lips, his head gently resting on the crux of the old man's neck. His eyes were foregone, as though he had just seen something beautiful.
"Those were amazing, Zephyr," he said gently.
The old man, with his long, silver hair flowing free behind his shoulders, gave the younger a sweet smile. His fingertips lightly brushe
Camera Kings: Just FineThe stage, for once, was quiet. It had to be. As Richard sat at his desk, his fingers holding up a prop piece of parchment, he let his eyes trail over the elegantly typed out scroll. When this portion of the episode went to edit, Thomas would voice over the contents of the letter. At least certain parts of it. The parts that were mainly focused towards the more gooey, romantic things. As the cameras rolled, Richard let his eyes trail along the black ink of the paper, his face changing sweetly during the right cues. To his side, a tennis ball on a stick was pushed forward by a prop master, and nudged Richard's thigh. The actor reached over and pet the top of the ball, pretending that it was a hound head. And still, he kept silent.
Inside, however, Richard was in turmoil.
Things had been going so wonderfully with Thomas. After their moment together two weeks ago, Richard was sure that things would patch up quickly between them. Perhaps even develop better than they had. But ab
Camera Kings: Safest Option"Why do you look like that? What's wrong?"
"There was only one assassin last night, Noreat. No others were found. I had my guards search all over the palace and even through Highryn after I brought you back here, and their search came up empty."
"Then I was the only target? I've only been in Geofek for a handful of weeks!"
"Which is probably why it is best for you to leave soon "
Richard, laying along a bed with gauze wrapped around his shoulder, looked horror struck. His hand was currently lifted from the bed, clutching Thomas's own. The lights had been dimmed to simulate night time, a few spot lights gently shining where the candles were to help keep things visible. The night before, Richard had finished his scene with the dreaded Dream Eater, which in reality was nothing but a tennis ball on a stick. Now, he and Thomas were finishing up the first half of filming for the day. After this take, they would break for lunch (something
